
Marc Zapata is an environmental engineer with Asia – Pacific ASA. Mr Zapata is currently completing his 4th year of a bachelor in Civil Engineering from Griffith University. Mr Zapata has been part of the Asia – Pacific ASA team for the past 4 years where he has gained valuable experience in application of hydrodynamic and water quality models in both marine and freshwater environments. Mr Zapata has been involved in numerous projects including the application of a verified 3-dimensional hydrodynamic model on the Great Barrier Reef for the Australian Institute of Marine Science. The validation and calibration of a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model for AMSA in order to describe the hydrodynamics within Moreton Bay. And the establishment of a pollutant export model for the Nerang River and it’s linking to the WQMAP system for the Nerang River catchment.
